FEES: Residents are assessed $6.00 per day.
ELIGIBILITY: Felony Offenders
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Probation Officers, Mental Health
or Substance Abuse Counselors may make Referrals.
Offenders may also self-refer.
CAN HELP BE IMMEDIATE: Based upon available bed space
SUPPORTED BY: Program receives primary support from
the Michigan Office of Community Corrections, Resident
fees and the Michigan Department of Corrections.
PROGRAM/SERVICES DESCRIPTION:
Huron House is a Probation Residential Program offering
the following services to offenders:
- Intensive, 24-hour supervision
- Substance Abuse Monitoring and Screening
- Job Skills Training
- Employability Skills Training
- Personal Living Skills Training
- Educational assistance to complete high school
or GED
- Assistance in pursuing post-secondary education
and training
- Employment placement assistance
- Money management assistance
- Structured use of leisure time
- Referral for appropriate substance abuse
and mental health counseling
- Zero Tolerance Drug Testing
